The Joy of Writing Fiction

One of the great pleasures I derive from writing fiction is that I do not have to color within the lines. (That was a metaphorical jump there.)

What I mean by that is, I have a great deal of interpretive latitude with facts. In other words, I get to make up stories that are not entirely factual. Normally, my blog posts are factual or at least allegorical. But there are special occasions that call for something beyond a recounting of daily life on planet earth.

This post may make it appear that I am leading up to something. Well, as a matter of fact, I am. Stay tuned, because in six days, there will be a major announcement right here on this blog.
